Fox Class

Foxes have really enjoyed the 'Our United Kingdom' topic. They have read the book 'Fantastic Mr Fox' and 'Tuesday' in English. They acted out parts of the story, wrote their character descriptions and retold the stories. In Maths, we have completed lots of practical time and measure activities. We even made our own clocks for home learning, which were fantastic!
The children learnt about Florence Nightingale and why she is significant in their history lessons. We created a timeline for her life events and compared her to nurses today. Also, in geography we explored our local area and made maps of our local area.
In P.E, we practised our skills so that we could play some striking and fielding games.
In R.E, we learnt about the Torah through Judaism. We learnt what the Torah is and why it is important!
We ended the summer term with an amazing week of activities. We were able to go on our yearly trip to Southwold with Squirrels, we played for hours in the sand with our buckets and spades and then ate yummy ice-creams. We had a Forest School day and we all got very messy! We did a carousel of activities which included archery, cooking on a campfire and created our very own Basquet inspired graffiti wall!
On our last full day before the holidays, we completed language day. We learnt our colours, numbers and days of the week in French. We enjoyed tasting some delicious traditional food and all dressed in the colours of the French flag.
I am so proud of Foxes and how resilient they have been this year. They have all worked incredibly hard and I wish them all the best of luck for the next year :)
