2017/2018

This half term has been a jam-packed one for Red Deer! We have been focussing on our topic of Food Glorious Food and through this we have had some fantastic learning opportunities!

In Literacy, we have been studying many traditional tales such as the Grimm Tales and Hansel and Gretel.  We have written our own gory Grimm Tales and also some catchy news reports!

In Maths, we have been focussing on the 4 operations: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. We have also been having a go at fractions which can be very tricky!

In our PE we have been swimming at Thetford Leisure Centre and we have also been lucky enough to have Neil in to coach us in football!.

In topic, we have learnt about: the digestive system; different foods in French and how to say our opinions of these; we have used our ICT skills to design a birthday party for the queen and in music we have been looking at the music of Oliver.

Our RE has been focussed around Christianity with a focus on Teachings and Authority!

All in all- a very busy half term!
